New booster seat laws effective 1/1/2012

Effective 1/1/2012, all children must be in a booster or car seat until they are 8 years or meet a height requirement of 4 feet 9 inches. The previous law required children to be in booster seats until 6 years of age or 60 pounds. In addition, all children under the age of 16 must be properly restrained. Failure to comply with these laws may result in a minimum fine of $475 and a point on the record of the driver.

Flu vaccine now available

The influenza vaccine is now available and recommended for all our patients starting from 6 months of age. We have the FluMist (a live virus vaccine that is administered as a nasal spray) for children over 2 years of age, as well as the Flu Shot (the injectable form) for children over 6 months of age. We can give these vaccines during any well or urgent care visit so please make sure and discuss the vaccine with your doctor if you have an appointment coming up soon. You may also call our office to schedule a time for your child(ren) to come in to receive flu vaccine(s). New Fee Schedule for Forms

As of October 1, 2011, our policy and fees for physical exam forms will change. Currently, we charge $15 for physical exam forms to be completed within 3 days. We will now provide all patients with a completed physical exam form at the time of the visit, either their own or a generic one that we provide, free of charge. If you need a copy made of this form at a later date or would like us to complete a different form, we will be charging a fee. We will still charge $15 for form completion within 3 days. However, if you give us extra time (up to 7 days) to allow the doctor who saw your patient to complete your form, you will only be charged $10. If you need the forms within 24 hours, you will be charged $20, as this often involves extra time for the on call doctor who may not know your child to complete this form.

We Moved!

We moved on July 5, 2011. We are no longer located on Bancroft Avenue. Our office is now at 1555 Doolittle Drive, Suite 180, San Leandro, 94577. We are excited about our new office with its larger exam rooms, ample parking, first floor access, and fresh new look!
